Sore Muscles Be Gone

This past summer, I pounded 18 three-foot fence sleeves into the ground with a three-pound sledge hammer with a three-pound sledge cap (to prevent the sleeves from flaring and mashing). The next morning, my shoulders and back were extremely stiff and sore.

In the past, I’d use a brand name topical cream to help loosen the stiffness and reduce the soreness. But I found another product that is so much better. Within minutes of rubbing it into the affected area, my muscles loosened up and the soreness was virtually gone without smelling like a medicine cabinet. Most brand name and generic topical creams don’t work nearly as fast. It’s also come in quite handy after softball games too. In fact, I keep a tube in my softball equipment bag.

For sore, stiff muscles I don’t use anything but this blue miracle cream.

Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements

Recovering from Type II Diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea did not happen overnight. It took a long time, and a lot of hard work. I wish I could say I recovered due to a good diet and exercise program, but the truth was, I was too far-gone as a diabetic for the diet and exercise to work quick enough. I needed help, and I needed it fast. Doctors told me I had 10 years left to live if I didn’t do something drastic, so I had weight loss surgery, otherwise known as gastric bypass surgery. I saw this as a tool, nothing else.

By the time of my surgery in December 2003, I was taking three oral diabetic medications, a medication for high blood pressure, a medication for anxiety, an over the counter antihistamine for sleep apnea, and more than 100 units of insulin twice a day. I was hard-core.

I left the hospital three days later completely off all my oral medications, and my blood pressure was normal. I also stopped having anxiety attacks. Within 11 months, I was completely off insulin, and have been for more than three years. Oh, and I no longer have sleep apnea.

There’s just one little drawback…I have to take vitamins for the rest of my life…like that’s a drawback! Here I was cramming myself with, what I considered toxic chemicals, every day to stay alive, and now I had to sustain myself with healthy, nutritious vitamins, minerals and supplements. Easy choice! The only problem was, knowing what to take.

Weight loss patients have different needs than regular folks; however, everyone needs vitamins, minerals and supplements…especially in this day in age with over-use of antibiotics, superbugs, and agriculture and pesticides. Women and children need calcium magnesium citrate (though different amounts) and men need zinc. Everyone needs probiotics as this supplement, otherwise known as friendly flora or bacteria, helps boost immunity.

I take really high-quality vitamins, not the cheap kinds you find at your corner drug store. Every day, I take a multi-vitamin, calcium magnesium citrate, MSM, B12, probiotics, and a prescription vitamin for gastric bypass. Some of these vitamins are once a day, some are twice a day, and it can be a real pain in the neck remembering what to take and when. In the beginning, I sorted all my vitamins in a pill caddy, but then I got lazy. I found a product that had all the vitamins, minerals and supplements I needed (except my prescription vitamin of course) in an AM/PM pack. What a lifesaver! And they’re actually easier to swallow then my other vitamins, minerals and supplements. Instead of remembering at the last minute to lug all my miscellaneous bottles out of my cupboard, count everything out, pray I don’t get confused because one vitamin, mineral and/or supplement looks like the other, all I have to do is take out an AM/PM pack for that day and I’m done.
